Today I did the cemetery run which was 6 miles. It got a lot easier as I kept running. After that, I ran a lap around Sugar House Park and that was 2 miles.

Today we went to Lava Hot Springs and ran the loop. When I finished it was 6.3 miles, so we ran a little bit more to get to 7 miles. It was hard because there were a lot of hills but it was fun running somewhere I had never been before!

Today we were at the Jordan River Park. We ran 20 minutes out then turned around and ran back. When I got back I was at 4.3 miles and it took 38 minutes. After that, we did stair-stepping and leg lifts followed by a half mile of strides and a 10 minute cooldown. It was nice to run a relatively flat route today after yesterday's hills.

Today the team met at Hogle Zoo and ran on the shoreline trail. I ran to the fountain and back which totaled to 5 miles. This run was hard because there were a lot of hills.

Today I was in Colorado visiting family so it was hard to find a time to run. I ran around my grandma's neighborhood for about 20 minutes and it totaled to 2.5 miles.

Today we went to the pipeline trail, which is my favorite place to run! I ran 8 miles there. When I got home I felt really good and wanted to run more so I ran to a park near my house and back which added 2 more miles.

Today we went to Sunnyside Park. We ran to the track, did a grass lap, 8 x's on the field, 10 hills, 2 grass laps and then ran back to Sunnyside for a total of 6 miles.

AM- Ran 4 miles at the JCC. It was really hard because there was a lot of uphill and it was way hot outside.

Today I ran a 5K with Eden, Sam, and Dallen. I made the mistake of not warming up at all before the race so my time was not very good. Next time I will definitely warm up!!!

Today I ran 6.5 miles starting at Liberty Park. We ran along 9th east until we reached 3rd Avenue  and ran until we were kind of by the capital. Then we came back on 5th east.

Today I ran 4.5 miles on the trail by the zoo with Eden and Patrick to get to my weekly mileage.

Today Eden and I went on a run in the rain which was waaay fun because we didn't get very hot! We ran along 13th east until 2700 south, ran up that to 2000 east and down Parley's Canyon to 13th again and then we both went home. It totaled to 8 miles. That evening I felt like I had a lot of energy so I thought I would get 3 more miles in. During this run I felt great!

AM- This morning the team met at Sugarhouse park. We did a 2 mile warm up, ten hills, 4 state hills and a 2 mile cool down for a total of 7.5 miles. The hills were really tough but I pushed myself.

PM- The team met at Sunnyside and I did a 5.5 mile run on 13th and 15th east.

AM- This morning the team met at Wheeler Farm. There we did a warm up, strides, and then four 800's. I tried to get 3:30 on my 800's. On the first 3 800's I got 3:27, and on the last one I got 3:31. Running with Sarah B. really helped me push myself. I like running at Wheeler Farm because it is really shady! At Wheeler Farm I ran a total of 7 miles.

PM- Tonight we met at Liberty Park. I did a lap of warm up, a lap of fireman, and a lap of cool down. The fireman was difficult because I was with the faster people on the team and we were running a 7:30 pace and the lap took 11 minutes. At Liberty this totaled to 4.5 miles.

AM- This morning we did the JCC rock run. This was the first time I did more than a 4 mile run here because we usually do it on Thursdays and I have to leave early. I usually don't like this run but today it was fun! I ran 3.75 miles out and back for a total of 7.5 miles.

PM- Tonight we met at Cottonwood. We ran a 10 minute warm up, did 4 hills, and then jogged the region course. This was hard for me because I made the mistake of eating too soon before running so I felt nauseated during the course. This totaled to 5 miles.

Today I ran in the Draper Days 5K. I ran a two mile warm up with Eden, Sarah, and Camille. My time was 22:42 and I placed third in my age division! I was kind of scared for the race but it ended up being kind of fun. Next time I race I am going to try to push myself more at the end.

Today I ran 6.5 miles with Eden. We went north on 13th east up 500 south, through the U campus, and then down back to 13th east. It was a fun run but my calves are really sore from the race.

This morning I ran up 2100 south and along 2100 east to Coach Mike's and then to a flag pole and back to Sugarhouse park for a total of 7.5 miles. This run was hard because it was uphill at the beginning, I was trying to keep up with the fast group, and I am still kind of sore. Later today I ran 4.5 more which was difficult because I am having pains in my shins. I think it is because I need new running shoes.

Today I ran the Deseret News Classic 10K. My time was 46:37. I was really anxious for this race because I have never raced a 10K before and I wasn't sure how to pace myself. It was really fun! Overall I am satisfied with my time! Before the race I did a warm up and after the race I did a cool down for a total of about 9 miles. After the race my calves were extremely sore so I iced them when I got home.

So today I didn't make it to the morning workout because I woke up really late. I forgot that tonight's workout was at 8 instead of 8:30 so I was like 20 minutes late and everyone was gone. So I had my dad drop me off at sunny side park and I ran home but took some detours to get in more mileage. It ended up being 5 miles.

Today was the first day of hill (hell) week. We met at Sugarhouse Park and did a lap of warm up. After that we did repeats of three different hills that I can't remember the names of. The last hill we did which I think is called State Hill was the hardest for me. After all of the hills we did a cool down lap around the perimeter of the park. This totaled to 8.5 miles.

Tonight we met at Sunnyside and ran 4 miles in the gully which made me feel a lot better because of the workout earlier.

This morning we ran up by Solitude at Puke Hill. I feel like the entire way to the turn around at Desolation Lake was uphill and it was sooooo hard! But I tried to run with Sarah on the way there and with Sam and his group on the way back. I liked the trail a lot but it was super long being 12 miles.

Tonight we met at Liberty Park and did 3 miles which made me feel a lot less sore from earlier!

Today we ran Pipeline but took the trail with tons of uphill and switchbacks. It was really hard for me to keep going on the uphill. Other than all of the uphill I thought the trail was really fun and beautiful. After this run I felt really good!

This morning we met at the JCC. I ran 3 miles out and then did 10 hills and then ran back for 9 miles. I was dreading this workout because everyone said it was really hard but it really was not that bad! Puke Hill was a loooot harder.

Tonight I met with Bill, Dakota, Eden, and Sarah at Liberty Park. We ran 5 miles and I tried to stay right next to Sarah for most of it.

This morning I woke up super early so that I could run before I left for my trip. I ran from my house to Liberty Park and around my neighborhood until I got to 7 miles. I did it in about an hour and my pace was about 9 minutes a mile.

I couldn't run this morning because we were driving really early but I ran at night practice with the team when I got home. We were at Sunnyside and did 4.5 miles. It was surprisingly hard to keep up from only missing Saturday and Sunday.

Tonight we had the Team BBQ/Fun Run. Today my shins and my hips hurt so I was kind of nervous about the "race". I did a warm up with the team and some strides before it. I ended up finishing 4th for the girls and I think my time was around 19 minutes for the 2.5 miles. After the race I did a cool down. Oh and I am soooo excited to be a team captain with Sarah!!! This season is going to be a blast!!

Today we met by the zoo and ran what I think is called the Flagpole Run. I kept up with the lead group all the way to the turn around at the water fountain. On the way back I kept up with Garek and Jacob for the first half and with Eleanor for the second. The way back was a lot harder for me. We ran a little extra to finish to 9 when we got back. Even though the uphill on the way back was kind of hard, I really liked this run!!!

Tonight I ran 4 miles on my own around my neighborhood to catch up on my mileage. Oh and I got new running shoes earlier today so it felt great!

This morning we met at Cottonwood Complex. We warmed up and then ran to another park nearby, did a lap and ran back. When we got back we did a couple of hills. I felt good about the up hills but I always get scared on the down hills so I slow down. Eden and I had to leave early but we got five miles.

Tonight Bill and Dakota ran the course at Murray Park with Eden and I. This added three more miles.

Today was the Premier Invitational XC Race, and it was my first XC race. I was reeeeally anxious about this race but I learned a lot from it. A couple hours before the race I ran a mile with the team and ten minutes before my race we ran another mile. I definitely should have warmed up at least another mile and ran some strides before the race. The uphill at the beginning was pretty difficult but I tried to pass as many people as I could. My time for this race was 21:43. I think that if I had warmed up more I could have gotten a faster time. The best thing about this race was that everyone on the team was very supportive of each other and cheered each other on!!! Including the warm up, race, and cool down I ran 8 miles this morning.

Tonight I went on an 8 mile run by myself to complete my mileage for the week. At first I felt kind of sluggish but after 3 or 4 miles I had a pretty enjoyable run.

I ran 7 miles tonight just around my neighborhood and a couple laps in the gully with Eden. After this my quads were kind of sore so I stretched for a couple of minutes.

This morning we met at Liberty Park. We did a lap of warm up and then 10 strides. After that we were supposed to run 2 miles under a certain time twice and then an 800 under a certain time. I was supposed to get 7:00 on the miles. On the first one I got 6:46 and on the second one I got 6:49. On my 800 I got 3:12. I pushed myself on the speed and felt pretty good about it. After the speed we did one lap of cool down to get to 8 miles.
