This morning I ran 5 miles on my own before volunteering because I couldn't go to the Bike and Run.

Today I ran to Liberty Park and we did a lap of warm up, 20 minutes of fartlek, step-ups, a lap of cool down, and then I ran home. It ended up being 8.5 miles total for me.

Tonight Eden and I ran 5 miles, but I am going to estimate that about a mile of it was hard core prancercising. It's a lot harder than it looks...

Today was the first day of hill (hell) week. We met at Sugarhouse Park and did a lap of warm up. After that we did repeats of three different hills that I can't remember the names of. The last hill we did which I think is called State Hill was the hardest for me. After all of the hills we did a cool down lap around the perimeter of the park. This totaled to 8.5 miles.

Tonight we met at Sunnyside and ran 4 miles in the gully which made me feel a lot better because of the workout earlier.

This morning we ran up by Solitude at Puke Hill. I feel like the entire way to the turn around at Desolation Lake was uphill and it was sooooo hard! But I tried to run with Sarah on the way there and with Sam and his group on the way back. I liked the trail a lot but it was super long being 12 miles.

Tonight we met at Liberty Park and did 3 miles which made me feel a lot less sore from earlier!

Today we ran Pipeline but took the trail with tons of uphill and switchbacks. It was really hard for me to keep going on the uphill. Other than all of the uphill I thought the trail was really fun and beautiful. After this run I felt really good!

This morning we met at the JCC. I ran 3 miles out and then did 10 hills and then ran back for 9 miles. I was dreading this workout because everyone said it was really hard but it really was not that bad! Puke Hill was a loooot harder.

Tonight I met with Bill, Dakota, Eden, and Sarah at Liberty Park. We ran 5 miles and I tried to stay right next to Sarah for most of it.

This morning I woke up super early so that I could run before I left for my trip. I ran from my house to Liberty Park and around my neighborhood until I got to 7 miles. I did it in about an hour and my pace was about 9 minutes a mile.

I couldn't run this morning because we were driving really early but I ran at night practice with the team when I got home. We were at Sunnyside and did 4.5 miles. It was surprisingly hard to keep up from only missing Saturday and Sunday.

Tonight we had the Team BBQ/Fun Run. Today my shins and my hips hurt so I was kind of nervous about the "race". I did a warm up with the team and some strides before it. I ended up finishing 4th for the girls and I think my time was around 19 minutes for the 2.5 miles. After the race I did a cool down. Oh and I am soooo excited to be a team captain with Sarah!!! This season is going to be a blast!!

Today we met by the zoo and ran what I think is called the Flagpole Run. I kept up with the lead group all the way to the turn around at the water fountain. On the way back I kept up with Garek and Jacob for the first half and with Eleanor for the second. The way back was a lot harder for me. We ran a little extra to finish to 9 when we got back. Even though the uphill on the way back was kind of hard, I really liked this run!!!

Tonight I ran 4 miles on my own around my neighborhood to catch up on my mileage. Oh and I got new running shoes earlier today so it felt great!

This morning we met at Cottonwood Complex. We warmed up and then ran to another park nearby, did a lap and ran back. When we got back we did a couple of hills. I felt good about the up hills but I always get scared on the down hills so I slow down. Eden and I had to leave early but we got five miles.

Tonight Bill and Dakota ran the course at Murray Park with Eden and I. This added three more miles.

Today was the Premier Invitational XC Race, and it was my first XC race. I was reeeeally anxious about this race but I learned a lot from it. A couple hours before the race I ran a mile with the team and ten minutes before my race we ran another mile. I definitely should have warmed up at least another mile and ran some strides before the race. The uphill at the beginning was pretty difficult but I tried to pass as many people as I could. My time for this race was 21:43. I think that if I had warmed up more I could have gotten a faster time. The best thing about this race was that everyone on the team was very supportive of each other and cheered each other on!!! Including the warm up, race, and cool down I ran 8 miles this morning.

Tonight I went on an 8 mile run by myself to complete my mileage for the week. At first I felt kind of sluggish but after 3 or 4 miles I had a pretty enjoyable run.

I ran 7 miles tonight just around my neighborhood and a couple laps in the gully with Eden. After this my quads were kind of sore so I stretched for a couple of minutes.

This morning we met at Liberty Park. We did a lap of warm up and then 10 strides. After that we were supposed to run 2 miles under a certain time twice and then an 800 under a certain time. I was supposed to get 7:00 on the miles. On the first one I got 6:46 and on the second one I got 6:49. On my 800 I got 3:12. I pushed myself on the speed and felt pretty good about it. After the speed we did one lap of cool down to get to 8 miles.
